The wrong way is to sit at the picnic table just south of Marathon airport, twiddle one's thumbs and listen for their distinctive call.

The right way is to arrive at Taster's MM91.5, Tavernier, at about 730pm, sit outside at the back, eat Chef George's excellent food the best anywhere close to where I live and among the most creative in the Keys and sample from a serious beer and wine list.

Both nighthawk species were present, which gave me an excellent chance last night to compare how differently they fly, their size, and their wing shapes. Antillean are obviously smaller when seen together. At least a pair of Antillean is present.
