I saw one on the University of Miami campus yesterday near the Lowe Art Museum. They have nested here for several years. Perhaps they are extending their breeding further inland since they were not on the UM campus 15 years ago.

P.S. Did anyone ever notice that when you look
at collared doves in the right light they have
"LUNCH" on their breasts. It probably makes it easier for the hawks and falcons to spot them.

: Before yesterday, I'd never seen a White-crowned Pigeon in West Kendall. Then I found one within 100 yds of my house.

: Before today, I'd never seen one at FIU's University Park campus, but 2 flew by a few minutes ago.

: I wonder if this represents the migratory portion of the Pigeon population returning (the timing is right), perhaps pushed further west than normal by the east winds.
