I birded my back yard trees starting at 7:00 pm & finishing at 7:30 pm and observed the following birds:
2 American Redstarts, male & female
1 Northern Parula
3 Black-throated Blue Warblers, 2 males(one being tail-less)& a female
1 Cape May Warbler, male
4 Blue Jays
1 nesting Red-bellied Woodpecker
2 Painted Buntings, females
2 Starlings
2 Common Nighthawks, flying overhead
8 Cattle Egrets, flying overhead
1 Little Blue Heron, flying overhead
Not the best of migration, but all within a half-hour, just before sunset. There's always next year!
