Before yesterday, I'd never seen a White-crowned Pigeon in West Kendall. Then I found one within 100 yds of my house.
Before today, I'd never seen one at FIU's University Park campus, but 2 flew by a few minutes ago.
I wonder if this represents the migratory portion of the Pigeon population returning (the timing is right), perhaps pushed further west than normal by the east winds.
