I checked previous years and on or within a few days of this date from 2005-2010 (April 16-21)
I have had some really nice days birding and seeing migrants.
The worst year was in 2005 with only 6 warbler species but had La Sagra's Flycatcher and Acadian Flycatcher to make up for the low numbers at barnes. The next lowest total number of warbler species was 8, but had many thrush, tanager and vireos to go along with the warblers.
In the other years during this period my best was an 18 warbler day with Blue-wing, Hooded and Tennessee. During the other years 14 and 15 warbler days made me happy. Also shorebirds were here in greater numbers and variety if I recall correctly.
This year, I saw a Swainson's at Sadowski along with a few Prairies...
We need some rain!!!!! to knock down some birds.
I will have some cheese with the whine if you don't mind.
No I can't sing!
