What is turning out to be probably THE worst spring migration in many, many years here in Collier County continues. However, this morning, I briefly checked-out Pelican Bay Community Park here in North Naples and was pleasantly surprised to find a whopping two bona fide migrants: Worm-eating Warbler and Summer Tanager (x2). The birds were seen high in a fruiting Ficus/Banyan Tree at the south end of the park. WEWA is #191 for my Collier County Big Year. A few other birds seen were Black-and-white Warbler, Brown Thrasher (x2), Killdeer and Osprey. Let the floodgates open!
