Sandhill crane, lower Florida Keys

A belated report-at 7:50am on 10/16/01 there was a sandhill crane flying low and to the east over Blimp Road on Cudjoe key, 100 yards North from the Public Boat Ramp. It was leaving a saltwater marsh that is on the West side of this road. Pranty lists this bird as absent in the Keys (with the exception of a few reports in the Dry Tortugas).
In the summer this road is excellent for Antillean Nighthawks.
