Went to see the Fork-tailed Flycatcher at the location of the previous post. Two birders told me they saw it on the wires at the intersection of 12th St. and 9th Ave. My friend and I waited but did not see it. Angel and Mariel were there and they had it spotted at the NE corner of the cemetery but it flew. John Vanderpool from Colorado was also there along with another birding friend of mine but none of us could relocate it. All of us eventually left except for John. I was almost home when John called and said he was looking at the bird. It was on the wires outside the NE corner of the cemetery. This area can be accessed by walking east on the dirt road at the north end of the cemetery until you comme to the paved road. I drove back and met John and observed the bird for about ten minutes. Ted and Barb Center also were there. When it flew from there, John left and Ted,Barb and I walked back west on the trail and found the bird perched on a wire at the original location on the corner of 12th St. and 9th Ave. It was there until 7:30 when it flew off to the NW. Sorry for the long post. Hope others get to see this bird. By the way, the tail looked rather ragged. Thanks to John Hutchison for the quick post.
