: We were going to head up to Miami to find some of the countable exotics, namely Spot-breasted Oriole and White winged & Yellow-chevroned Parakeets but we were pressed for time and beside, my RFI sent out to several Miami area birders who know the area well, didn't merit one reply!

Spot-breasted Orioles can be hard to predict. Some days you just can't find any. Today, they seemed ubiquitous. Before I left for work, one was singing in my back yard. At FIU, I again heard one singing by my office several times during the day. Finally, as I walked out onto to the parking lot by Everglades Hall, one flew right in front of me.
