I stopped from about 8:30 to 9:45 this morning to see if the weather had produced anything new. Not much, but not a total waste either. There was a small flock in the boardwalk area with some variety. I later found what may have been the same flock in the wellness center area. The now restored Homeless Hammock area had a couple of birds, including a Summer Tanager. One important note, though, is that I heard what was likely a La Sagra's Flycatcher calling from the area between the boardwalk and 72 Ave. It did the "wheet" call a couple of times and one double note "wheet, wheet". I should have spent more time trying to see it, but I had limited time and wanted to cover most of the park in search of migrants.
Here's the morning list:
La Sagra's Flycatcher (possible, heard)
Red-eyed Vireo (FOTY)
Gray Catbird (2, take that G!)
Northern Parula (3)
Black-throated Blue Warbler (2)
Prairie Warbler (4-5)
Palm Warbler (2)
Black-and-white Warbler (3)
American Redstart (2)
Worm-eating Warbler (2)
Ovenbird
Common Yellowthroat
Summer Tanager
