This morning I saw this dull-colored heron with active feeding habits that appears to be a Reddish Egret. It is the first I have seen over seven years of birding in the West Miramar ESL (Harbour Lakes portion of the West Broward WCA). Its black bill and lores, dark legs and color, as well as shape and foraging habits seem to fit, but I have never seen an immature of this species before and would appreciate confirmation of ID.
