April 2nd: Green Cay migration included palm, prairie, parula, black and white, redstart and black throated blue, Cape May, and Indigo bunting. Also present , 15 sora, and baby moorhens galore and three tree swallows as well as Purple Martins now filling the nesting boxes. Okeeheelee had about 20 buntings and the Indigo are now in almost total color and one is geting a very deep blue on the head. The Dickcissal (no longer the darling) shows up, mingles, but gets "no respect." It just can't compete witha painted or indigo in full color. We tried an afternoon photo visit and found it as productive as the early morning one. In some respects the viewing and light are much better.

April 3: ENP saw scores of catbirds, everywhere catbirds. Black necked stilts at Eco-pond and one poor touron ( when a tourist crosses with a moron) that walked out into the mud and marl of Eco-pond...she sank and sank and got very dirty. Visited the new now open Buttonwood Lounge for lunch, and later saw nothing at Mrazek, West Lake, Nine Mile.

April 3rd: Visited the eagle nest at Pembroke and photographed the two (2) baby eagles and just missed one of the parents flying off for foraging. All quiet there.
