Confined to Key Biscayne because of Sony Ericsson traffic, I checked Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP this morning for migrants and wasn't disappointed. There were respectable numbers of expected Caribbean migrants, as well as returning Gray Kingbirds scattered around the park. Three patrolling Merlins kept the mid-section of the Nature Trail quiet. A few wintering birds remain, including 2 Grasshopper Sparrows, Painted Buntings and House Wrens.

It was a 5-vireo morning, with Blue-headed (8) and one each of Bell's, Yellow-throated, Red-eyed and Black-whiskered. There were 12 warbler species, including Yellow-breasted Chat and a male Blue-winged Warbler.

The (singing) Bell's Vireo and Yellow-breasted Chat were on the Nature Trail, ~150 yards west of the trail entrance at the south end of Area C parking. The Blue-winged Warbler was at the east end of the Youth Camp area.

There will be 1 more day of bad tennis traffic.
