Birded AD Barnes from 8-10 this morning. The place was not hopping with birds but still better than other places I have birded recently. Had 4 warbler species, Prairie (most common, some were in song), Worm-eating, Black-and-white and a couple of Palm Warblers. Had a few Gray Catbirds and heard one sing for the first time. Somewhat like a mockingbird song, not so loud. Many Cardinals, a female Summer Tanager, a couple of Blue-headed Vireos and Cooper's Hawks mating (female quite larger than the male). Overhead had Purple Martin, White-winged Dove, Yellow-chevroned Parakeets and a noisy pair of Blue-and-yellow Macaws.

At Indian Hammocks added Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon and White-crowned Pigeons. Prairie Warblers, Gray Catbirds and Cardinals in the main hammock. A surprise was a Great Blue Heron perched on an oak in the main hammock! Maybe it thinks it is a migrating warbler.
