It has been another excellent week at the refuge for birding. The "mowing" in the C 6 impoundment has been attracting large numbers of waders and as an additional bonus the Snail Kites stop to see what is going on.
Here is the list of bird sightings from Saturday October 13, 2001. Sorry the posting is belated. Thanks to Pat Canning for guiding the marsh walk around the C7 impoundment and Kristen Murtaugh for help with the migratory bird survey along the east side of C7 and C8 through the visitor center parking lot and around "the triangle". They both helped with this list.
