Least Terns have returned to Tigertail Beach on Marco Island; at least 100 were seen during my visit today. I tallied 14 shorebird species, including Snowy Plover (4), Marbled Godwit and Red Knot.
Other stops included:
Shark Valley- Purple Gallinule, Limpkin, Great Horned Owl, Northern Waterthrush
Kirby Storter-Downy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Great Crested Flycatcher, Tufted Titmouse, Northern Parula, Pine Warbler
Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk-Bald Eagle, Carolina Wren, Northern Waterthrush
