My wife, Pam, reported a bird singing its' heart out early this morning. As soon as I stepped out the front door with my binoculars my, first of the year Black-whiskered Vireo was located singing from my Gumbo Limbo tree, which is in fruit. He rotated between it and my Green Buttonwood and Mahogany trees.I heard two others while on a two mile walk in the Village and Miami Springs.I hope they will nest in or around my yard. I heard one singing in June from my yard a couple of years ago but could never find the nest.

Life is good..........when attracting migrants with native tree species.
