At Lucky Hammock,near sunset I ran into John Lamey from Ontario. (every year I run into John in FL and once in VA, excellent birder and butterfly man) He had just seen the MacGillivray's around 7pm by the "dryer/washing machine" area at C-111E. I had tried between 4:45-5:30pm with no luck.
Lucky Hammock produced the Barn Owl around 7:30pm which flew by us about 3 times (we were standing on Aerojet rd on the south side of the hammock). At 8pm a probable Lesser Nighthawk was flying silently sround the hammock and over the rd. while Chucks were calling in the distance.
