All:

On Thursday, April 15th, while at Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas, our group saw an Audubon's Warbler (western race of Yellow-rumped Warbler). Arthur Wilson photographed it. If the photo of this bird does not show below, you can view this photo at:

Our group, which consisted of Arthur & Anne Wilson, Georgia Nef, Peter Murphy and me, saw 134 species during the three days we birded south Florida from 14-16 April. We had a total of 22 warbler species alone (23 if you count the Audubon's). Highlights consisted of Nashville Warbler (Ft. Jefferson), Swainson's Warbler (Indigenous Park in Key West), Three Brown Boobies on the way back to Key West from Ft. Jefferson (thanks to the sharp eyes of Brennan Mulrooney), Masked boobies on Hospital Key, Western Kingbird at Ft. Jefferson, White-tailed Kite along Research Road in E.N.P., nesting Cave Swallows along Hainlin-Mills Rd. in Homestead, three Smooth-billed Anis alon NW 10th (south of the Ft. Lauderdale Airport, south of Griffin, south of Greenbelt Park) and all of the usual (expected) Spring migrants.

What a great time to be birding in Florida!
