Today as I'm driving home from work in Boca Raton I saw a group of large dark colored birds overhead. The group was roughly over the intercoastal waterway I pulled over to figure out what kind of birds they were. Through my bins I could see that it was a group of about 21 Great-blue Herons. They looked like they were trying to catch the thermals but were not very efficient at it. The group was slowly moving to the north. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
