In other bird threat news, a recent study was published titled "Birds Consumed by the Invasive Burmese Python (Python molurus bivittatus) in Everglades National Park, Florida, USA" that you might also find interesting. The pythons seem to be feeding opportunistically on many species (including a Magnificent Frigatebird!), but rails are being hit particularly hard.
