I was fortunate to be in Florida last week and viewed Big Mac Monday evening. Thursday, I ran into a birder friend at Green Cay who told me the bird had been at Loxahatchee before it was found at the canal in Miami-Dade. He said it had been photographed but not identified at the time.
Does anyone have additional information about this? If the MacGillivray's was indeed at Loxahatchee previously, I'm wondering how long it has been in Florida.
