At about 4:30 pm yesterday (4/15), I spotted a single sandhill crane flying northward over the park's office area. Less than 200' up, it vocalized twice before going out of sight. Robin Diaz speculates that it may the offspring of the disabled pair of cranes that live at Crandon Park.
