Went to the FIU Nature Preserve this morning. The hammock area was very quiet and only had a few Cardinals. There is a plant nursery/garden area adjacent (west) to it that had more bird life: Several Painted and Indigo Buntings together (all females) feeding on a plant that looks like wheat, a few Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Palm and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Common Yellowthroat, Gray Catbird, Monk and Yellow-chevroned Parakeets and my only Gnatcatcher for the day. Also noted that the place had plenty of butterflies.

Later at Baptist Hospital had many Mitred Parakeets by the lakes.
