The continuing La Sagra's Flycatcher put on a nice but fairly brief appearance on Saturday afternoon. I found the bird with Susan from the D.C. area. We arrived at Bill Bagg's State Park about 10:30 yesterday but did not see it until about 2:30. The bird was seen along the paved bike trail on the west side of the park. This trail runs by No Name Harbor and the restaurant that is there. The bird was only seen about 100 yards or less from where the restaurant is. It called briefly from the west side of the bike trail. There is a white paper towel in the tree next to the path where the bird was seen. Afternoon sightings seem to be more consistent in this area, morning sightings may be more consistent near the white gate.
Other birds seen today with Susan were:
Spot-breasted Oriole
Red-whiskered Bulbul
Monk Parakeet
Yellow-chevroned Parakeet
White-winged Parakeet
White-crowned Pigeon
Hill Myna
Common Myna
Orange Bishop
