I could not determine. I was scoping from a great distance and it was at dusk. It appeared to be buffy on the belly but the female northern fits this also. Even though the rump looked dark I think it was just due to poor lighting. Mainly it was the long narrow wings (bowed) and mothy flight. I would never report a Caribbean SEOW unless I had a photo to back me up.
