Woke up this morning and tried to go to my car and get to work, but was detained by 10 warbler species just in my yard!!!These were:
common yellowthroat
prairie
norhtern parula
western palm
american redstart
maggie
black-throated blue
b&w
northern waterthrush
yellow-throated

I then went down the road to Castellow Hammock and saw a half dozen ruby-throated hummingbirds, more of the above-listed warblers, some indigo buntings and a rose-breasted grosbeak. I was mostly impressed by how the sky was LOADED with the palm warblers; group after group flew over the whole time I was there. Don't know where they all decided to land, although there are plenty of them out in Shark Valley right now, along with the first American Bittern I've seen this year.
Ahhh, migration.....
