Sorry to hear you couldn't find him. Yes, there were three dogs there yesterday when I saw him; either he did not notice or did not care. I guess his stop here was only brief, there was still a couple of hours of light left when I saw him, perhaps he moved on shortly after I observed him. Well, will have to keep a look out next year around this time, maybe we will see more. Glad you could observe some other species though, the owls are always great fun to watch, there is one with a feather sticking out on at least one wing, I believe that to be the male, and he is VERY tame; I am able to sit within 5 feet of him on the ground just outside the burrow if I approach slowly and he ignores me, no threatening bobbing or anything of the like. Well, better luck next time though I hope!
