Short-tailed Hawk & Fork-tailed Kite

After a fruitless morning walk on Anhinga Trail, EvergladesN. P., I made the acquaintance of Phillip Jefferies. While driving research road, this prince of a guy, called me not once but twice to alert me to the presence of a dark morph Short-tailed Hawk back at the visitor's center at Royal Palm. Driving as fast as possible made back to the center but missed the bird. Patience payed off with a light morph Short-tailed Hawk at 11:00 followed shortly after by a great display by a Forked-tailed Kite low over the parking lot.
