The area you're referring to is near the Deer Fence Canal but just north of the construction. The Scissor-tailed Flycatchers are finally back after the cold snap in January as are the Western Kingbirds. No one has reported any Cassin's Kingbird along CR835 this year and we check every time we're out there. One was originally found here way back in 2006 or so but none have been found since. The Cassin's Kingbird at STA-5 is wintering there again this year so folks coming out to the STA-5 tour this Saturday should get to see it.
