The Mayor of Pembroke Pines appointed a Steering Committee that provided input to set the stage for formal declaration of a Bald Eagle Sanctuary in the city-owned land that contains the nest, and an eagle protections ordinance that will add controls over land use so that developers abide by USFWS and FWC eagle protection guidelines.
