A number of birders searched Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park this morning for the Cuban Pewee reported from yesterday, but were unable to relocate it. Paul Bithorn and others saw the La Sagra's Flycatcher in the vicinity of the white gate on the nature trail.

On my way to the park, I stopped by the neighborhood north of Baptist Hospital. When I rolled down the car windows, I immediately heard the raucous calls of Amazon parrots. Perched on a palm snag in a resident's front yard were a pair of Orange-winged Parrots, a species that I can't recall seeing in this neighborhood before. I took a few photos; a link to one is below. I also found a Red-whiskered Bulbul, but failed to find any of the orioles reported from a few days ago. As I drove by the Toys R Us on US 1, I saw three more Amazons perched on a palm snag; they were also Orange-winged Parrots.
