Today a fun group of 18 TAS birders tackled Shark valley and Loop Rd. We did log 54 species of mostly "regular stuff". Great views of the usual waders at Shark Valley and an "escargot" eating Snail Kite and 9 Limpkin at the old airboat pulloff.

At Shark Valley we were treated to Great horned Owl in the parking lot on a nest!!!!

On a very quiet Loop road the highlight was a Brown Headed Nuthatch, viewed by all.Otherwise it was a day of great spirits ,food ( high fat potato chips), and birding friends.

In a disturbing note it appears there are plans to pave Loop Road. Can you imaging the environmental impact!!!
