Nesting Purple Gallinule

For those that haven't observed a nesting Purple Gallinule "up-close" try Wakodahatchee. This bird built the nest on the right side of the boardwalk as you come down from the information platform, about forty feet or so. The nest has a "woven" top of spike rush over it but not too good as you can see right into it by looking straight down from the boardwalk. Pop keeps coming back and usually "gives away the location." Truly a dry feet, comfortable, chance to see a nesting P.Gallinule.
