at 5:00 pm I spotted a Merlin in a tall red mangrove along the intercoastal opposite the northernmost nature trail...after walking around the strip of mangroves along the intercoastal to get a better view, I saw first a columbid, then the merlin take off top speed. This was in about the same spot I saw the peregrine 2 days before..but I managed a picture of this time : )
