The location is on SW 79 st. Right before the Kendall Indian Hammocks entrance coming from SW 117 Ave. The field on the left. The opening in the fence is by the fire hydrant.

Toe, Rock and Trey were there and some photos were taken of the bird. Good way to start my Saturday. Just got back from Argentina where I had some great birding in the Patagonian region (Rheas, Crested Tinamous), Araucaria forests by Bariloche and marshland around Buenos Aires. Many cool lifers. Great to add another one today.

Also seen in the same area this morning were Blue-headed Vireo, E. Phoebe, Kestrel, Gnatcatchers, Palm, Prairie, Yellow-rumped, Pine, Black-and-white, Parula and Yellow-throated warblers. Many birds were singing: Cardinals, Gnatcatchers, Pine Warbler and Parula.

Also a Downy Woodpecker yesterday at work in Kendall feeding on a live oak in the parking lot. I think this is only my 3rd one for Kendall not in a pine area.
