Heyy birders! On monday evening I went to Matheson dirt road and produced nothing much except for the constant Catbirds Calls. At the end of the trail I started hearing many parrots and Id them as Blue-fronted Parrots. After that there was the very cool call of the Pileated Woodpecker. When I was leaving I looked up and saw some big birds. They were several hundred feet up. I saw the big wings flapping slowly and the long feet back. It was getting dark so no colors on the wings. They were a pair. I think its not 2 Great Blue Herons. Hoping they were Sandhill Cranes. Any ideas. thanks
