Injured Sapsucker

So... A yellow-bellied sapsucker slammed into a window and smashed its upper bill. Lower bill is fine. I treated it for shock and cleaned off the blood (have a background in wildlife rehabilitation). However, I felt the best thing for the bird was to get it out of shock and then let it return to the yard. It did revive and in all ways seemed fine, except for missing 1/3 of its upper bill. So, first off, any ideas on chances of survival? Secondly, any suggestions for aid? Will a sapsucker visit a hummingbird feeder? I know the trees it uses in the neighborhood and the size holes it makes... was contemplating chiseling a few to help out.
