After waiting for two hours (7-9) new time, this past Sunday the show began. Late, but outstanding. At least 12 painted male/female buntings around at one time with about 7 female indigos for two hours. then, at 10:15, came the male. A solitary fully blue indigo male bunting! Breath taking! Well worth the wait.
And, perhaps sadly, two disfigured cardinals. This one that obviously needs a cuttlebone badly, and another that has a large growth on his cheek.
If you haven't seen buntings yet, and in large numbers, go here ASAP before they move north.
