Scary but true - White-crowned Sparrows

This morning I had to go check out a property down US-1, so I took a quick detour to Lucky Hammock. About 100 feet down on the left, after turning onto Aerojet Rd., there were 3 White-crowned Sparrows. Across the main road along the fence I found another Clay-colored. The place looked birdy, but I couldn't stay long. I did see a pickup truck and trailer parked INSIDE Lucky Hammock. What is the deal with that?
