I dropped my daughter off at her ballet class and had just enough time to make it to the C-357 for a quick look before going back to pick her up after class. On the way I called Bill B. to discuss Bird-A-Day strategery and I said "it'd be nice to see something like a Clay-colored Sparrow, which I need for the year." I arrived a little after 5:00 pm and quickly found some Savannah Sparrows and Palm Warblers in the brush just to the right of the berm. Just past a single coconut palm, in some dry grass, I pished up two Savannahs and a beautiful Clay-colored. Next time I talk to Bill, I'll say "it'd be nice to see something like a Resplendant Quetzel, I still need that for the year."
