I visited this park from 0930 to 1100 this morning. There was a nice flock of birds directly to the left of the park entrance within a group of mostly Oaks. It is the open area before you come to the asphalt path that leads to the elevated boardwalk. If you go, be careful on the elevated boardwalk because there are two planks together that are missing and could easily result in serious injury if you fell through. I left a message for the park. The caution tape there was not intact. The first birds heard were the Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and others were warblers: Worm-eating,Prairie,Black-throated Blue,Orange-crowned,Magnolia,Black&White,Northern Parula and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. A bright Summer Tanager and a curious Blue-headed Vireo were also present. A Broad-winged Hawk was perched in the trees west of the boardwalk.
