The weather pattern has finally brought birds to Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP. Although only 9 warbler species (Louisiana the best), there were 300+ Palms (including beautiful Eastern), 60+ Prairies and 15+ Black-and-whites. Raptors: 2 Red-tailed Hawks, Broad-winged, Northern Harrier, Red-shouldered, Peregrine Falcon and 2 Merlins.

Other signs of migration: Blue-gray Gnatcatchers (absent last 3 weeks), Chuck-will's-widow, Gray Kingbird, Yellow-breasted Chat (2 days ago), Black-necked Stilt, Solitary Sandpiper (flyover) and Loggerhead Shrike, which is unusual for the park.
