I had a pleasant morning at Crandon Beach today. Lesser Black-backed, Herring, Ring-billed and Laughing Gulls were present, as were Royal Terns. Shorebirds included Piping, Semipalmated, Wilson's and Black-bellied Plovers, Sanderling, Dunlin, and Least Sandpipers. Great Black-backed Gulls were seen on the street lights on the Rickenbacker Causeway on the way over.

I also stopped by Bill Baggs State Park to look for the LaSagra's Flycatcher, but it was a no-show, at least through 10 a.m.
