This afternoon I spotted the male grosbeak along with Black and White, Black-throated Green, Black-throated Blue, Prairie and Myrtle Warbler, White-eyed and Blue-eyed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatchers and Great-crested Flycatcher. The Rose-breasted Grosbeak had a boldly striped head, dark wings, white wing bars, white rump, and spotty rose red breast. All the birds were found about 20-30 feet on the right as you enter the trail from the intersection of 175th Street and 78 Avenue. I missed the Nashville but others had seen it briefly in the spot where Toe and Trey saw it yesterday.
