Debbie & I had a Bonaparte's Gull (winter adult) at the Flamingo Marina today. As you enter the marina parking lot it was on the left (east) side where the boat docks are. It was paddling around in the water like a phalarope all by itself in the extreme northwest corner (the north corner closest to the parking lot) just to the left of the "Hooks & Fishing Lines Injure Wildlife" sign.
Other birds of interest in the park were White-tailed Kites on Research Road, Orange-crowned Warbler at Eco Pond, and Least Bittern, Northern Waterthrush, & Sedge Wren at Anhinga Trail. The Sedge Wren was about 30 feet past the bridge on the paved trail at about 5:30 PM.
