Well, wuss that I am, I skipped this week's Loxahatchee birdwalk. When I got up at 5 am it was raining, the weather report said "rain until noon", and the TV weather radar showed green blobs training from southwest to northeast right over the area. So I went back to bed, stupid person that I am. I guess I missed a whole lot of stuff.

I can't personally comment on the highlight(s) of the day so I'll skip that aspect of this week's report. However, when I went out to the refuge to get the list of sightings, I got a photo of an Otter in the small pond behind the Visitor's Center.
