I arrived at 0615 right after a downpour. With the full moon shining I saw NOTHING flying over the fields and only heard killdeers. At 0700 a Barn Owl crossed the road and flew in the hammock from the NE but I never saw it again. Barred Owls calling from the Annex area before sunrise also. The Brown-crested finally started calling around 0830 but several Myiarchus were present the whole time. One other birder, Julie A. was also birding the area. At 0930, the Scissortail flycatcher came out and sat on the powerline in front of the hammock. The usual warblers, sparrows and vireos were present. An Indigo Bunting was new for me for the year here but I did not see the Yellow-throated vireo previously reported.
