The ani was present this morning at around 7:20 or so. It was first seen at the section of Anhinga Trail where the pavement ends and then it goes to a boardwalk that is a dead end. It then flew north stopping several times before going out of sight near the spur boardwalk to the north. There was also a limpkin that was foraging along the paved section of the trail.
While fishing in Islemorada there was a gull perched on a marker that had a dark back, yellow bill and bright yellow legs. I took a picture with a point and shoot and can post the picture if anyone is interested when I get back north.
