Heyy birders! Today was a very active day for my nest boxes. Two of my nest boxes was inspected by 2 pairs of red-bellied woodpeckers. But I had a great surprise around 4 PM, after I came back from a bike ride from my house to key biscayne(23 total miles). Well I was checking one of my nest boxes and I didin'y see a red-bellied, starling, but an Eastern Screech Owl rufous morph. I was in awww. I wasen't expecting at all to have an owl in one of my woodpecker nest boxes. It might have been one of the owls I saw yesterday which were close to the nest box. It was eigther roosting or mating with another owl. I'll post a pic tommorow. Great birding!
